P.I.Z.Z.A. EXPO- Las Vegas, NV

Last week I attended the Pizza Expo  in Las Vegas. I mentally prepared myself for this day weeks prior and when the day finally came I was SO ready in my stretchy tank top and track suit. The first smell as I walked into the convention center was mind blowing. The aroma of pizza and Italian food bombarded my nostrils and got me pumped up for the day ahead. At first glance, I can't deny the true sense of euphoria that rushed over me as I scoped out the vast center FILLED TO THE BRIM with pizza, chicken, cheese and mozzarella mountains, pasta, and desserts galore. The purpose of this expo was for companies and businesses to showcase their product for resale in restaurants, so the samples were plentiful. Unfortunately for me, I made no game plan on what to eat and when and just went to town munching on everything in sight. ...And by everything I mean everything except for the pieces of unappetizing burnt pizza :P
After spending 4 hours overindulging in what seemed to be hundreds of bite size Italian tid-bits, I was in a true food coma. I tried ALL types of pizza, thin, thick, saucy, meaty, vegetably... everything. I had chicken prepared in every way, fried nuggets, baked nuggets, spicy, sweet, and savory. I noshed on at least 10 cannoli and numerous types of tiramisu on top of all of the other gelato and cakes consumed.
Long story short, I made myself sick. Completely sick and overfull for days proceeding my day of real-life gluttony. However, being stuffed to my brim is no new phenomenon between me and Vegas. Most people see Las Vegas as a town for gambling, alcohol, and well, sinful acts. Not me! To me, Vegas is a food mecca calling my name. This town is jam-packed with buffets and gourmet restaurants that are to die for. A few weeks ago when I was there I came across "Buffet of Buffets" AKA a 40$ pass for unlimited access to 7 different buffets at different hotels within 24 hours. Participating buffets include:
-Le Village Buffet @ Paris (my number one choice when rating on unique choices, quality, and dessert table ;) )
-Paradise Garden Buffet @ Flamingo
-Emperor's Buffet @ Imperial Place
-Lago Buffet @ Caesars (awful. Don't recommend it)
-Spice Market Buffet @ Planet Hollywood
-Carnival World Buffet @ The Rio (my second choice due to HUGE amount of options)
-Flavors Buffet @ Harrahs

...You can find more Buffet of Buffet info at the following website:

It's definitely worth checking out if your in Sin City because 40$ for a full day of eating is a real steal and can help preserve your hard earned slot money!
